The University of Macau (UM) Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) organised the offline part of a Designated Training Course on Medicine and Health Sciences for students of the University of South China from July 14 to 17, 2025. This training course is a combination of offline and online courses, lasting a total of three months, and was taught by professors from the University of Macau.

During the four-day offline training, the students attended various professional lectures, topics include Genetic and biometrics: Introduction of foundation and frontier, Autophagy Lysosome Pathway in Cancers and Neurodegenerative Diseases, Precision Medicine and Big Data: Revolution and Opportunity and Comparison of Chinese medicine and Western. The students also visited different units of UM, including the UM Wu Yee Sun Library, UM Gallery and State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine. Outside UM, the students visited the Kiang Wu Hospital. Many of the students say they are impressed with the international teaching quality at UM and are willing to come back to UM for further studies.

CCE continues to develop training programmes with quality mainland universities to promote collaboration between UM and higher education institutions in Mainland China.
