To gather the strength between enterprises in Macao and mainland institutions, create an atmosphere to jointly promote the professional development of the youth, provide opportunities for professional growth for the Macao youth, and actively help young people integrate into the overall development of the country, the DSEDJ has continued to implement the “Macao Youth Professional Development Programme”. This year, 12 enterprises were invited, and a total of 32 outstanding young Macao employees were recommended to participate.

The “Macao Youth Professional Development Programme” is divided into three stages: local training, outbound on-the-job learning, and advanced training in the Mainland. The first stage of local training was held from August 4 to 8, 2025, co-organized by CCE and BRTC. The training topics included the comparison between the new and old National Security Law, the development trend of the “1+4” diversified industries, the connotation of the World Tourism and Leisure Centre, the current application and development of AI, the construction of Macao’s “One Base”, crisis management and media public relations response, and an in-depth interpretation of the policies of the Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin. Additionally, participants were arranged to visit Macau Port Company. After the training, participants conducted group presentations, sharing projects based on the topics combined with their own professional knowledge and experience.

The closing ceremony was officiated by Mr. Wong, Deputy Director of the DSEDJ, and Professor Matthew Liu, Director of the CCE and Director of the BRTC of the Faculty of Business Administration. Mr. Wong encouraged the trainees to continue to work hard, to display their talents on the broad stage of life in the future, and to become a construction force for the country and society. Prof. Liu said that CCE and FBA will fully support the training of local youths and encourages the trainees to continue their studies and give back their knowledge to the country and society.

After completing the first stage of local training, participants will be arranged by their enterprises to go to different regions such as the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, or to foreign countries for on-the-job learning, gaining opportunities for professional improvement and practice. CCE is continuing to cooperate with various companies in the future, to provide professional development programmes and trainings for working young people, and we strive to cultivate a generation of talented and responsible young individuals who possess ideals, capabilities, and responsible, rooted in Macao, connected to the motherland, and globally minded.
