The University of Macau (UM) Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) hosted a training course on Internet of Things (IoT) Engineering from January 26 to 29, 2026. The participants included 23 freshmen from the School of Internet of Things, the School of Modern Posts, and the School of Smart Transportation at Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications (NJUPT), as well as one student from China University of Geosciences (Wuhan).

The four-day program featured a compact schedule with rich content. Specialized lectures covered topics such as “Exploring Financial Markets: From Classical Statistics to AI,” “Big Data and AI: Revolutionary Development”, “AI, IoT, and Energy Systems” and “IoT in Smart Cities: Applications in Autonomous Driving and Smart Transportation Systems”.  In addition to the lectures, students visited the University Library, the University Gallery and the State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City to learn about the laboratory’s latest research achievements and development projects.

Since 2022, Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications has selected outstanding students annually to participate in online or offline training at UM. CCE continues to develop more high-quality training projects to promote exchange and cooperation between Chinese mainland universities and UM.
