The University of Macau (UM) Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) organised a training course on Medicine and Life Science for medical university students from mainland China during July 29 to Aug 2. Total 51 students joined the training, they are mainly from Southwest Medical University, Fujian Medical University, and Guangdong Medical University.

The five-day training course is rich in content and taught in English by UM professors. The topics include “Precision Medicine and Big Data – Healthcare Revolution and Business Opportunities”, “A stem cell journey: from bench side to bedside”, “Comparison and difference of clinical medicine between Chinese and Western medicine”, and “Introduction to Drugs and Drug Analysis”. The participants experienced high-quality, all-English instruction from UM. The classes were engaging and dynamic, they left with a very positive impression of both Macao and UM.

CCE continues to develop more training programs for university students, promoting exchange and cooperation between mainland universities and UM.
