The Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) of the University of Macau (UM), successfully organized 23 AI-related courses from January to December 2025. The course content covered areas such as generative artificial intelligence, robotics technology, big data analytics, AI for enhancing event management capabilities, and smart city applications. A total of 781 participants attended, with an average of about 34 people per class, demonstrating the Centre’s efforts and achievements in promoting AI education and professional training by aligning with national policies, the development direction of the Macao SAR, and leveraging the University’s academic strengths.

Among these 23 courses:

  • 4 classes were under the local government’s Continuing Education Development Plan (PDAC)
  • 2 classes were public courses
  • 1 class was part of a CPD programme recognized by the local medical professional committee
  • 1 class was local teacher training
  • 1 class was for cross-border executive training
  • 14 classes were cross-border student study tours, involving students from universities such as Northwestern Polytechnical University (985), Jiangsu University, Harbin Engineering University, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and Huazhong Agricultural University (all 211 universities)

Looking ahead, the Centre will continue to leverage the University’s academic strengths and collaborate with various faculties to provide AI-related education and training courses, offering diverse learning opportunities for the local public and regional professionals, and promoting high-quality cross-border academic exchanges for teachers and students.
