CCE and ICMS jointly organized a course for “Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Training Activity” on 25 May. The course is approved by Conselho dos Profissionais de Saúde. It is “Formulating a Research Design and Leveraging a Multidisciplinary Approach”. The students are the Macao health professionals, including doctors, dentists, pharmacists and traditional chinese physicians.

The 3-hour course is lectured by professors from ICMS, they are Professor Yuan Jia HU and Assistant Professor Carolina, Oi Lam UNG. The course covers the writing skills and academic publication of the biomedical research proposals and interdisciplinary research on using drugs properly, to enhance the understanding of students in ensuring the quality of the research design and getting key elements carefully,  as well as the ability in designing high-quality research. Also, students realize the importance of multidisciplinary approach to enhance their ability to adopt the approach in practice.

The course was conducted in online teaching via ZOOM. The course had been successfully completed with great recognition and positive feedbacks. The students, who attended the entire course, will be awarded a testimonial jointly issued by CCE and ICMS.

Starting from 1 October 2023, the health professionals must obtain the credits required by participating in CPD activity within the license cycle.  The credits obtained in each cycle can only be applied for the immediate renewal or re-issuance for the license.
