The University of Macau (UM) Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) held a training program for university students from 28th July to 1st August 2025, themed “Medicine and Life Science.” The 29 participants were mainly from Southwest Medical University, with a few other students from institutions such as Jiangsu University and Guangdong Medical University.
The five-day training program, conducted entirely in English, featured rich academic content and was delivered by senior professors from UM. The curriculum included topics such as “Clinical Research and Prevention of Parkinson’s Disease and Aging,” “Immunomodulatory Mechanisms and Tumor Immunotherapy,” “Comparison and Differences between Traditional Chinese and Western Clinical Medicine,” and “A Journey into Stem Cells.” The students experienced the high-quality, all-English teaching provided by UM’s international faculty, giving the program unanimous praise.
In recent years, Southwest Medical University has sent outstanding students to UM for training on multiple occasions, actively supporting students in overseas study and exchange to broaden their horizons. CCE will continue to develop more training programs for university students, promoting exchange and cooperation between universities in Mainland China and UM.
