The University of Macau (UM) Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) organised a training course on Artificial Intelligence and Big Data for students from several mainland higher education institutions during July 15 to 19. Total 75 students joined the training and divided into 2 classes, they are from Northwestern Polytechnical University, Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Changzhou Institute of Technology and Xiangtan Institute of Technology.
The five-day training course is rich in content and taught in English by UM professors and senior instructor. The topics include “Fundamental of Artificial Intelligence: Computer Science & Database Systems”, “Big Data and Artificial Intelligence: Revolutionary Development”, “Fintech & Blockchain”, and “Emerging Big Data and AI Techniques”. They also visited UM’s State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City (SKL-IOTSC). We got positive feedback from the students.
CCE continues to offer training programmes and promote collaboration between UM and higher education institutions in mainland.
