The University of Macau (UM) Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) organized a training course on Artificial Intelligence and Big Data for 21 undergraduate students during February 10 to 14. Most of participants are from Harbin Engineering University, and several students from Changzhou Institute of Technology also joined the course.
The five-day training course is rich in content and taught in English by UM professors and senior instructors. The topics include “Fundamental of Artificial Intelligence: Computer Science & Database Systems”, “Big Data and Artificial Intelligence: Revolutionary Development”, “Financial Technology (FinTech): Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence”, and “Emerging Big Data and AI Techniques”. They also visited UM’s State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City (SKL-IOTSC). We got positive feedback from the students.
Harbin Engineering University (HEU) dates back to the PLA Military Engineering Institute founded in 1953. In 1994, its name changed to Harbin Engineering University. The school was identified as one of the first batch of key universities in the “211 Project” in 1996, and entered the ranks of the national “Double First-Class” construction in 2017.
CCE continues to offer training course and promote collaboration between UM and higher education institutions in mainland.
