The University of Macau (UM) Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) held the Training Course on Innovation Technology and Regional Economic Growth for students from China Three Gorges University during Jan 27 to 29, 2026.

The three-day training programme featured a rich and intensive curriculum, participants gained an in-depth understanding of particular topics and experienced the high-quality teaching of UM’s international faculty. During the on-campus visit, students toured UM’s Library and University Gallery, among other facilities, which helped them familiarize themselves with the campus environment and experience the academic atmosphere of UM students.

Three Gorges University, a full-time undergraduate university co-founded by the Hubei Provincial People’s Government and the Ministry of Water Resources of the PRC, is formed by the merger of the former Wuhan University of Hydraulic and Electric Engineering (Yichang) and Hubei Three Gorges College. It is included in the Ministry of Education’s Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program, and is part of Hubei’s Domestic First-Class University initiative, a provincial key high-level university in Hubei, a university with National Typical Experience in Graduate Employment, and a designated National Training Base for the Employment Ability of University Graduates.

CCE will continue to develop more training programmes for university students to promote exchange and cooperation between universities in Chinese mainland and the University of Macau.
