CCE, in collaboration with the Executive Education of FBA held a training programme on Macau 1+4 Industrial Development and its Role in the Greater Bay Area on December 7 for more than 50 students from the Global CEO Programme of the University of Hong Kong.

Prof. Jun Yu, Dean of the School of Business Administration of the University of Macau, attended the event and delivered a welcome speech, he introduced the overview of the FBA and expressed his welcome to studens. At the same time, Prof. Zhenhua Mao, Professor of Practice at the Business School of the University of Hong Kong and Chief Economist of CCXI, expressed satisfaction with the course being launched at UM and expressed the hope that there would be more opportunities to cooperate with UM in the future.

The one-day training was rich and compact., Director of the DSEPDR, Cheong Chok Man, former Director of the Judiciary, Chou Wai Kuong, Prof. Agnes Iok Fong LAM and Prof. Davis Ka Chio FONG were invited. The topics included “Macao Economy Moderately Diversified Development and the Hengqin Guangdong-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone”, “Discussion on the legal and criminal issues of Macao’s integration into the Bay Area”, “How can Macao play its role as a cultural and commercial platform between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries” and “The development, transformation and global competitiveness of Macao’s leading industries”. During the visit, the students went to the State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine to learn about UM’s scientific research achievements. Under the guidance of library staff, they visited the university exhibition hall and library to further understand the functions of the library, services, collections and facilities. The students expressed that they had benefited a lot from this trip, and they had gained an understanding and experience of the wonderful lectures provided by the professors at the University of Macau, as well as the history and culture of Macao and the local characteristics of the East and the West, leaving a deep and beautiful impression.

CCE and the Executive Education of FBA plan to launch more training programs for Executives in the future to strengthen cooperation and exchanges between UM and outstanding universities around the world.
