In response to the demand for professional courses in quantity surveying, the Centre for Continuing Education of the University of Macau (UM) and the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES) (Hong Kong Region) jointly offer the Advanced Professional Diploma in Construction Commercial Management (Quantity Surveying), and a new intake of the course commenced today (8 September).

The diploma course consists of 210 study hours. The course content encompasses both practical and theoretical knowledge of construction cost planning and contract management, covering six major topics, namely, ‘procurement and tendering’, ‘construction economics’, ‘construction management and innovative construction’, ‘contract administration and practices’, ‘construction law and contract’, and ‘research project’. Participants who complete the course and pass the assessment will receive a certificate jointly issued by UM’s Centre for Continuing Education and CICES (Hong Kong Region), and the certificate is recognised by CICES.
