The Centre for Continuing Education of the University of Macau (UM) and the Labour Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR government jointly offer a new session of the certificate course for construction safety officers. The first intake commenced on 18 September and the second intake will begin on 7 October, while the third and fourth intakes will be open for applications from 25 September.
The course consists of 150 study hours and four modules, including ‘Occupational Safety’. ‘Occupational Health’, ‘Safety Management’, and ‘Occupational Safety and Health Legislation and Practices’. Participants who complete the course and pass the assessment will receive a certificate jointly issued by UM and the Labour Affairs Bureau. The four intakes this year will offer about 140 training places in total.
