The University of Macau (UM) Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) and Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) recently organised a leadership certificate course with MGM China Holdings Limited for the latter’s employees. The course aimed to help participants enhance their competitiveness and upward mobility.
According to Francis Tan, vice president of learning and talent management at MGM, it was the first course jointly offered by UM and MGM. Designed for middle managers, the course placed an emphasis on developing students’ various skills to prepare them for future challenges. Prof Matthew Liu Tingchi, instructor of the course, expressed hope that the students would be able to put their knowledge into practice. Prof Jean Chen, dean of the FBA, said that there would be many opportunities for the FBA and the CCE to hold more professional certificate courses in the future.
