The University of Macau (UM) Centre for Continuing Education launched two training courses, in medicine and health sciences and artificial intelligence, respectively, for university students. The courses attracted about 100 students from Nantong University and the Wuhan Institute of Technology.
Prof. Liu, Director of CCE and Prof. Ni, Deputy Director of the Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs of Nantong University, delivered speeches and exchanged souvenirs respectively at the opening ceremony. Prof. Liu introduced the current situation of UM and encouraged the students to deepen their understanding of Macao. He also pointed out that the teaching activities of the University strictly follow the epidemic prevention measures to ensure the health and safety of all teachers, students and staff. Prof. Ni encouraged students to focus on their studies, and follow the rules of UM.
The five-day training course has a compact and substantial schedule. In addition to experiencing the high-quality teaching from UM’s international teachers, students also visited the historical city of Macao to learn more about Macao’s cultural development and urban conservation. The course arrangement is rich in content and received unanimous praise from the students. They shared their professional learning experience and what they have seen in the final presentation report. They hope to come to UM to study again in the future.
CCE and Nantong University plan to strengthen cooperation in training courses between mainland and UM.
