The University of Macau (UM) Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) organised a training course on Artificial Intelligence and Big Data for 24 students from Beihang University during January 27th – 29th.
The three-day training course has rich and compact content and taught in English by UM professors and senior instructor. The topics include “Fundamental of Artificial Intelligence: Computer Science & Database Systems”, “Big Data and Artificial Intelligence: Revolutionary Development” and “Crowd Intelligence & Systems Support for Artificial Intelligence”. For the campus tour, the students led by Prof. Ryan U to visit the State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City and The Super Intelligent Computing Center. CCE got positive feedback from the students.
Affiliated to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Beihang University is the first university specializing in aeronautics and astronautics in New China. Since its founding, Beihang has excelled as one of the first 16 national key universities, one of the first 22 universities to set up graduate schools after the restoration of the degree system in 1980s, and has been included in Project 211, Project 985, and Double First-Class University Plan.
To strengthen cooperation between mainland key national universities and UM, CCE is continuing to provide training programs in the future.
