CCE held an online summer training course for students of Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications

The University of Macau (UM) Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) held an online summer training course “Distance Learning (UMLive) Course – Training on Communication and Information Engineering” for 46 students of School of Communications and Information Engineering from Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications during July 11th to 15th. We received positive feedback from students.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the course was conducted online by ZOOM. The five-day training course consisted of a series of lectures, taught in English by UM trainers. The course contents are covering the introduction to: Computer Science & Database Systems, Big Data and AI, Microelectronics for Telecommunication and Signal Processing, 5G and Communication Technology, Applied Electronics and Automation, Data Science Programming. In addition, they attended an online exchange session with 12 UM students from various faculties. The students from both universities introduced themselves, home university and local education culture. In the final group presentation, many students said that they had gained a lot of new knowledge and could apply them to their studies.

During the epidemic, CCE continued to promote high-quality professional training programs online and offline in accordance with government guidelines, and carried out training courses with a flexible education model to promote exchanges and cooperation between mainland universities and UM.
